Location: Seattle, WA or New York, NY
Work Arrangement: Hybrid (Onsite 4 days/week)
4+ Month Contract with potential to convert to full-time

About the Role

The SMA Client Service team partners with the portfolio management team, operations, trading, and distribution to provide a best-in-class service experience for all clients. We are looking for a Client Service Associate to support our growing business. This role is focused on transactional and administrative workload and is ideal for someone with experience in financial services, RIA, or Broker Dealer environments who is passionate about delivering outstanding client service.

Key Responsibilities

• Responsible for new account setup, change requests, and processing cash raises across RIA and BD clients.
• Provide operational support and data entry to onboard client accounts and process ongoing account activity.
• Process transactional requests, including change requests, withdrawals, and "do not transact" status updates.
• Review platforms to determine whether additional paperwork has been received and ensure required documentation is complete.
• Work with client types including direct/retail investors, broker dealer platforms, institutions, and advisors.
• Support client communication through the team email inbox to provide white-glove service across all channels.
• Review and respond to reconciliation items, including delinked accounts, negative cash accounts, and new accounts.
• Contact custodians for service-related matters and custodian paperwork generation.
• Run client information in Salesforce CRM.
• Perform administrative tasks to support daily operations.
• Collaborate primarily with internal teams, with limited direct client interaction.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Experience working in a collaborative financial services, RIA, or Broker Dealer environment.
• High attention to detail (critical).
• Strong organizational and prioritization skills.
• Ability to ensure tasks are completed accurately and nothing falls through the cracks.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong operational excellence mindset.
• Ability to manage multiple administrative and transactional tasks efficiently.

Team Structure

• Team of 7 professionals, including 3 Associates.
• Associates support Managers who are focused on client-facing relationship management and complex, project-oriented work.
• The team is introducing a Senior Manager role to support continued growth.

Additional Information

• Hybrid schedule with 4 days onsite per week.
• Opportunity for conversion to a full-time position.
