The Pharmacy Care Technician is a pivotal member of the team. This role actively engages patients telephonically, providers in person, and community providers, pharmacies, insurance companies telephonically. The incumbent will use compassion and empathy to earn patients’ and caregivers’ trust, persistence to support and advocate for them, and excellent communication skills to build impactful relationships. Schedule: This position is full‑time, Monday – Friday (business hours of 8:00 am – 5:00 pm). Primary Responsibilities Gather pertinent medication information Document current medications in software systems Document pharmacist interventions in software systems Serve as liaison between care clinicians and pharmacy team Work collaboratively with internal and external departments Support in administrative tasks for tracking and reporting metrics Ability to work in a moderate to fast‑paced environment Interact with patients, providers and vendors to obtain accurate medication therapy information Support in medication adherence outreach efforts Ability to communicate well and ask pertinent questions to get needed information Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. Required Qualifications High School Diploma/GED Active and unrestricted Pharmacy Technician License in the state of NV 3+ years of experience as a Pharmacy Technician 1+ years of customer service experience 1+ years of experience with medical and pharmacy terminology 1+ years of experience with medication therapeutic categories 1+ years of experience with identifying generic name for brand name drugs and vice versa 1+ years of experience with an understanding of indication for medication Basic level of proficiency with Microsoft Office & Windows applications (including Excel) Preferred Qualifications 1+ years of experience in a hospital, ambulatory care or other healthcare setting Experience in a managed care setting Experienced in effectively conducting patient assessments Ability to manage time and proactively manage tasks efficiently Ability to work autonomously All Telecommuters will be required to adhere to UnitedHealth Group’s Telecommuter Policy. The hourly pay for this role will range from $18 to $32 per hour based on full‑time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
