Registered Nurse - Emergency Room

Job Description

Job Summary:

RN ED. provides expert nursing care in the Emergency Room, delivering rapid assessment and evidence-based interventions for patients with acute, urgent, and emergent needs. This per diem role supports 12-hour day shifts and functions as a key member of the emergency care team.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patients promptly and prioritize care based on acuity and clinical findings.
• Administer medications and treatments according to established protocols and provider orders.
• Monitor vital signs, recognize deterioration, and initiate timely escalation of care.
• Implement emergency and resuscitation procedures while maintaining patient safety and comfort.
• Coordinate care with physicians, paramedics, and multidisciplinary staff to ensure continuity.
• Document nursing assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately and timely.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active Registered Nurse license with verifiable standing.
• Maintain current BLS certification.
• Maintain current ACLS certification.
• Maintain current PALS and NRP certifications as applicable to the role requirements.
• Provide proof of MMR and Varicella vaccination or complete approved attestation of vaccination/declination.
