Experience Required
- 1+ years of commercial litigation, construction litigation, insurance coverage, or related litigation experience.

About the Role
The Firm seeks an Associate Attorney with at least one year of litigation experience, preferably focused on insurance-related litigation, including:
- Coverage disputes
- Personal injury matters
- Premises liability lawsuits
- Bad faith claims
The ideal candidate will have experience:
- Investigating and defending first-party and third-party claims
- Taking and defending depositions
- Drafting dispositive motions
- Attending court hearings in state and federal courts
- Experience drafting coverage opinions and conducting examinations under oath (EUOs) is highly desirable.
- Candidates should possess excellent research, writing, analytical, and independent thinking skills. This role offers the opportunity to manage all aspects of litigation matters, from pre-litigation analysis and client counseling through trial and appeal.
Responsibilities
Litigation
- Investigate and defend first-party and third-party claims
- Conduct and defend depositions
- Draft dispositive motions
- Attend hearings in state and federal courts
- Assist with trial preparation and litigation strategy
Legal Analysis
- Conduct legal research
- Prepare legal memoranda and client recommendations
- Draft pleadings, motions, and other litigation documents
- Provide strategic analysis and independent legal judgment
Education
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an ABA-accredited law school
Experience
- Minimum 1 year of litigation experience in a law firm environment
- Insurance-related litigation experience strongly preferred, including:
- Coverage disputes
- Personal injury litigation
- Premises liability matters
- Bad faith claims
Licensure
- Active license to practice law in Colorado
