Host

We are seeking a Host to join our team! The host is one of the most crucial positions in a restaurant, the host is the first person the guest sees and engages with as well as controls the flow for the entire shift. Day to day responsibilities for a daytime host include:

Managing reservations, either in person, on the phone or online.

Answering phone calls.

Seating guests and answering any initial questions.

Providing waiting times when necessary or for guests without reservations.

Creating an appropriate atmosphere when guests arrive.

Ensuring cleanliness and hygiene standards are met in front of house area.

Assisting with opening and closing of restaurant.

Knowledge of menu.

Assigning guests to tables they prefer, while keeping table rotation in mind so that servers receive the same guest count.

Some host requirements include:

To maintain a positive attitude and ability to work well under pressure.

To provide excellent customer service in a fast paced environment.

Ability to work in a standing position for long periods of time.

Willing to follow instructions and ask questions for clarification if needed.

We are open Tuesday through Saturday. Typical scheduling includes a variety of lunch and dinner shifts focused on when the restaurant volume is at its peaks. Friday and Saturday evenings are required.
