Become a member of our dedicated Respiratory Therapy team at our 86-bed facility, which provides a wide array of services, including general surgery, women's health, intensive care, and emergency services. Our team is focused on delivering top-notch respiratory care while continually exploring ways to improve the experience for patients and their families. We collaborate closely with all healthcare providers to ensure optimal outcomes for every individual we assist.

As a Respiratory Therapist excelling in this position, you will:

• Measure lung capacity and analyze blood samples utilizing a blood gas analyzer.
• Administer and evaluate responses to prescribed therapies according to the care plan. Monitor, document, and communicate patient conditions as necessary.
• Review respiratory care policies and procedures based on patient outcomes, current research, and best practices.
• Respond to emergency codes and calls for urgent assistance. Assess patient conditions and provide appropriate treatments.
• Educate patients and their families about illnesses and offer information on community support groups and resources.
• Manage the monitoring, receiving, stocking, and distribution of respiratory care supplies and medical gas cylinders.
• Ensure storage areas maintain required supply levels and equipment.
• Disassemble, clean, and sterilize equipment, while also performing preventative maintenance and calibration of machines.

Applicants should have graduated from an accredited Respiratory Therapy program and hold a registered Respiratory Therapist license in North Carolina. Additional qualifications include:

• Basic Life Support certification required within 30 days of hire.
• ACLS and PALS certifications required within six months of hire.
• One year of experience is preferred.
• ACLS certification is preferred.
