Overview The New York City Department of Homeless Services (DHS) is implementing a Harm Reduction Strategic Plan to build agency capacity to prevent overdose and other drug and alcohol related harms. NYU School of Medicine has been awarded a five-year research grant to collaborate with DHS to evaluate the efficacy and impact of the Harm Reduction Strategic Plan. Public Health Solutions is providing grant-funded, part-time support for the Project Assistant role within the DHS Health Service Office, under the supervision of the Director of Health and Homeless Service Integration. Base pay range $36.07/hr - $36.08/hr Responsibilities Under the supervision of the DHS Project Directors, the Project Assistant will: Support the development of evaluation data collection systems Collate and clean programmatic and administrative data for DHS harm reduction strategic plan initiatives Assist with data use agreements/memoranda of understanding Assist with transfer of data and data linkage Conduct data quality assurance checks and support quality improvement activities, including ongoing data collection technical assistance for direct service staff implementing the strategic plan interventions Monitor and track fidelity of the program Work with the NYU data analyst to interpret and use DSS data as needed, assisting in the preparation of reports and publications Qualifications Master’s degree in Public Health, Social Work, or a related field preferred but not required. Three years of experience working in program evaluation, implementation science, or applied research, including strong understanding of qualitative and quantitative collection and analysis methods.
