Driving Requirements May occasionally drive a state vehicle to other DCF sites in the Central Region (Polk, Highlands, Hardee) during emergencies. Overnight travel may be required in the Suncoast Region during emergencies. Staff members will report to 400 W. Robinson St, Orlando, FL 32801 Monday‑Friday 8‑5 at their own expense. Any travel from that location will be on a state vehicle and includes gas, tolls, and maintenance. If overnight travel is required, hotel and meals are provided at no cost to the employee. Work Arrangement Onsite. Work Environment In this job you will have a very wide range of responsibilities. You are the first person and many times the only representative that many staff will see of General Services, therefore it is important that you conduct yourself and your business in a courteous respectful manner. This is a responsible position, and you are expected to work independently and keep your supervisor and team leaders informed of situations and report updates accordingly. The duties you will perform include but are not limited to the following. Keep in mind that this is a very visible position. Candidate Responsibilities Maintain and account for Personal Protection Equipment and DSNAP inventory and distribution systems. Comply with CFOP 40‑2 Vehicle Management, maintain state vehicles, and submit monthly logs. Maintain the ERV (Emergency Response Vehicles & Trailers). Assist the MASC with day‑to‑day needs and weekly mail destruction. Assist with internal and external moves for the department. Create keys for employees and manage a log of key holders. Manage the keycard system for several sites. Dispose of surplus materials and furniture in accordance with CFOP 80‑2. Supply employees with furniture and desks as needed. Install whiteboards, corkboards and pictures across the region. Be prepared with hand dollies and necessary tools for each site visit. Assist IT with equipment moves and large relocations. Use the correct hand dollies to move heavy items following CFOP 215‑4 Safety & Loss Control. Ensure all facilities (AC, lights, etc.) are operating correctly. Learn site layouts and maps; GPS is your friend. Introduce yourself professionally and distribute business cards at each site. Maintain the warehouse in a neat and tidy condition. Order supplies or request purchase orders promptly; do not authorize services without a PO. Assist with Disaster Management during hurricane impacts to prepare and recover facilities. Identify and resolve all safety issues before leaving a site. Address trespassing on state property by asking the individual to leave, calling 911 if necessary, and informing Alleyn Tanner and Billy Ramos. Transfer surplus IT equipment to the Wildwood warehouse. Conduct site inspections as directed across the region. Skills & Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Valid Florida driver’s license and reliable transportation. Pass a Level‑2 background screening and clear MVR. Excellent communication skills. Ability to work independently and follow directives from supervisors. Experience in supply/warehouse management. At least one year of experience maintaining a fleet of vehicles. At least six months of experience using handcarts and hand dollies for heavy furniture. Knowledge of OSHA and safety regulations. Experience conducting facility site inspections. Experience with IT equipment. Ability to assist with Disaster Management for event preparation and recovery. Familiarity with Central Florida regions and GPS navigation. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
