We are looking for an experienced Human Resources Generalist to support a manufacturing organization in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. This Contract (3+ months) opportunity is ideal for someone who thrives in a hands-on HR role and can independently manage core employee support functions for a workforce of roughly 250 employees. The position focuses on payroll, benefits, onboarding, employee separations, and day-to-day HR guidance while maintaining compliance and a high level of professionalism.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee bi-weekly payroll activities, review data for accuracy, and help ensure all pay practices align with applicable regulations and company policies.

• Administer employee benefit programs, respond to benefit-related questions, and provide clear guidance to employees throughout the plan year.

• Coordinate annual open enrollment by organizing communications, collecting elections, and supporting employees through the enrollment process.

• Manage the full onboarding experience, including onboarding, orientation scheduling, and completion of required employment documentation.

• Lead offboarding activities by processing employee separations, preparing necessary records, and helping ensure a smooth transition for departing staff.

• Maintain organized and up-to-date personnel records and HR documentation while protecting sensitive employee information.

• Support employee relations matters by addressing routine concerns, escalating issues when needed, and partnering with leadership on practical resolutions.

• Monitor HR practices for compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and assist with related policy and process administration.

• Provide day-to-day HR support to managers and employees across the organization in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

• At least 3 years of experience in a Human Resources Generalist or similar HR role.
• Demonstrated experience processing payroll accurately and on a recurring schedule.
• Strong background in benefits administration, including hands-on involvement with open enrollment.
• Experience managing both onboarding activities for new hires and separation processes for departing employees.
• Working knowledge of employment law, HR compliance standards, and employee record administration.
• Proficiency with HRIS platforms and Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong organizational, communication, and customer service skills with the ability to handle confidential information appropriately.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities independently in a dynamic work environment.
