Medical-Surgical RN in Cherryville, NC

Step into a dynamic MedSurg/Telemetry environment within a 32-bed unit at a highly regarded regional hospital. As part of a collaborative care team, you will provide expert nursing to a diverse patient population, including those recovering from joint replacements, surgeries, amputations, and complex medical conditions such as SBO and those requiring NG tube management.


Schedule:

• Day shift: 6:45am-7:00pm and Night shift: 6:45pm-7:00am
• Weekend rotation: Every other weekend
• Holiday coverage: 75% of holidays required
• No on-call shifts
• Rotating 6-week scheduling cycles
• Up to 6 days of time off can be accommodated (excluding holidays)

Qualifications:

• Active RN license
• At least 18 months of recent MedSurg/Telemetry experience
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Proficient with cardiac rhythm interpretation, non-titrating cardiac drips (Cardizem, Amiodarone), wound care, drain/tube management, peripheral IV starts, and central line management
• EPIC EMR experience preferred
• Willingness to float between facilities within the region as needed, including Cleveland, Kings Mountain, Lincoln, and Central Division

Responsibilities:

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care for a variety of surgical and medical patients
• Collaborate closely with CNAs, charge nurses, hospitalist teams, intensivists, and support staff including RT and IV/VAT teams
• Perform patient assessments, administer medications, and document care within EPIC
• Maintain patient safety while managing multiple priorities in a busy unit
• Engage in floating assignments between designated facilities as required
