Remote Clinical Sales Specialist — Midwest

The Clinical Sales Specialist is responsible for providing technical sales support for all of Leica’s medical products. The position reports to the Clinical Sales Specialist Manager, is part of the Medical Sales team, and is a remote role covering the Midwest region. Key Responsibilities Ensure exceptional customer satisfaction by acting as the primary clinical and technical resource for customers and Independent Manufacturer’s Representatives (IMRs). Conduct technical product training and equip IMRs and Leica sales teams with the knowledge, tools, and confidence needed to position our solutions effectively. Lead and support product demonstrations and evaluations to showcase clinical value and differentiate Leica systems. Drive awareness, adoption, and successful sales of Leica Medical products by executing high‑quality demos, evaluations, and clinical support. Contribute to territory strategies that increase win rates, accelerate the sales cycle, and expand market share. Gather strategic customer feedback to generate new product ideas and provide recommendations for Product Management. Collaborate with Sales Leadership, Product Management, and R&D to conduct field evaluations, validate product performance, and support local and national product launch initiatives. Collaborate with customers and clinical experts to generate field data, case studies, and real‑world evidence that demonstrate product benefits and strengthen Leica’s competitive differentiation. Essential Requirements High school diploma or GED with 10+ years of medical sales experience (hospital environment) OR Associate’s Degree with 5+ years OR Bachelors’ Degree with 2+ years. Knowledge of microsurgical workflows and experience supporting procedures in specialties such as Neurosurgery, ENT, Plastics, Spine, or Ophthalmology. Travel and Physical Requirements Up to 70% regional travel, including overnight stays. Comfortable working in operating rooms and clinical environments. Able to lift over 50 pounds one at a time. Comfortable standing for extended periods. Preferred Experience Microscopy or advanced imaging experience preferred; familiarity with surgical visualization systems. Experience in medical devices, capital equipment, or technical sales. Benefits include health‑care, paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance, 401(k), and a flexible remote working arrangement. The base salary range for this role is $75,000–$85,000. The role also offers a sales incentive pay up to $70,000 annually.
