Welder$26/hour2nd3:15pm-1:15am Monday-ThursdayQPS Employment Group is seeking a skilled and dependable welder to join a growing production team in New Berlin, WI. This role is responsible for fabricating and assembling metal components using various welding techniques to meet strict quality and precision standards. The ideal candidate has a strong attention to detail, a commitment to safety, and experience working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This is an associate to hire opportunity on 2nd shift.Welder responsibilities include but are not limited to:Perform welding operations using MIG, TIG, and/or other welding processes based on job requirementsRead and interpret blueprints, schematics, and work instructionsSet up welding equipment and select appropriate materials (wire, gas, etc.)Fabricate and assemble metal parts and structures according to specificationsInspect welds to ensure quality, strength, and conformance to standardsGrind, clean, and finish welded surfaces as neededMaintain welding equipment and perform basic troubleshootingAdhere to safety protocols and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE)Collaborate with team members, quality inspectors, and supervisors to meet production deadlinesMaintain accurate production records and documentationWelder requirements:High school diploma or GED required; welding certification preferred1-3+ years of welding experience in a manufacturing or fabrication environmentProficiency in MIG welding required; TIG experience a plusAbility to read blueprints and technical drawingsStrong attention to detail and quality standardsGood hand-eye coordination and manual dexterityAbility to lift up to 15-50 pounds and stand for extended periodsReliable attendance and strong work ethicQPS Employment Group is a full-service staffing firm comprised of dedicated and passionate people with over 50 offices throughout the United States.
