Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical Oncology

Location: New Brunswick, NJ

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: Night shift: 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:30)

Job Description: The Registered Nurse will provide care in the Medical Surgical Oncology unit, with a focus on delivering high-quality nursing services to patients. The role requires a compassionate approach to patient care while maintaining the highest standard of professionalism and safety.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized patient care and support to oncology patients.
• Monitor patient progress and respond to changes in their health status.
• Administer medications and chemotherapy, adhering to safety protocols.
• Assist with patient education related to treatments and side effects.
• Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient care.
• Ensure proper documentation and adherence to hospital policies.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience.
• Active NJ or Compact RN license required at time of submission.
• Current certifications: BLS, CHEMO (ONS/ONCC). ACLS preferred.
• Experience with EPIC charting system is preferred.
