Integrated Verification and Validation Technical Program Manager (GR 25)

Requisition Summary

Seeking a technical program manager to lead the coordination of vehicle software verification and validation activities at the PACCAR Technical Center. This position will interface with suppliers, engineers, supervisors, and managers responsible for verifying and validating software from the system integration level through the vehicle level. The successful applicant will ensure a comprehensive validation plan is developed and executed to streamline activities. The position will also interface with the technical program managers within PACCAR’s internal software development group, which is responsible for delivering software verification and validation.

Division Information

The PACCAR Technical Center provides engineering excellence to the truck and engine divisions of PACCAR Inc through innovative product development and testing. The Technical Center is in the beautiful Skagit Valley about 65 miles north of Seattle, Washington. The location offers endless recreational activities including boating, biking, hiking, skiing, and fishing.

Job Functions / Responsibilities

• Coordinate integrated test planning between software integration, vehicle integration and validations teams 
• Responsible for leading the generation and maintenance of associated Integrated Test Plan
• Manage the bi annual PACCAR calendar year software release verification and validation of budgets and associated resources
• Lead weekly reporting on test progress, schedule, budget and quality issues
• Manage software verification and validation portolio level schedule for test teams
• Work with the various division accoutning teams and PMO to streamline and improve the accuracy of the budgeting and forecasting process and results 
• Evaluate exisiting processes for test and defect management and drive improvements to address gaps
• Work with Component System Owers at the various divisions to understand software delivery timing, develop schedules for visibility, collaborate on risk and issue mitigation and resolution and define clear responsibilties between PTC and CSOs
• Maintain knowledge of current and emerging trends in software verification and validation including supporting systems
• Work collaboratively with accounting, development, verification and validation teams and actively promote cross division teamwork
• Defining, tracking and analyzing KPIs (test coverage, pass/fail rates, inflow vs outflow)

Qualifications

• Minimum of five years of relevant project /process management or leadership
• Experience with project management and scheduling preferred
• Experience with the Microsoft suite preferred
• Software test ing or Embedded Software experience required
• Accounting experience a plus
• Previous technical experience in an engineering environment desired , previous controls experience desired
• Effective communicator and collaborator in a multi-cultural environment
• Excellent time management
• Excellent oral and written communications skills , comfortable presenting to senior managers
• Ability to travel up to 10%

BS degree in relevant field
