Quality ManagerThe Quality Assurance Manager is responsible for leading the company’s Quality Management System and ensuring products and processes meet AS9100, customer, regulatory, and government contract requirements. This role oversees quality assurance, audits, corrective actions, supplier quality, inspection, and continuous improvement.Who are we?Founded in 1849, Ducommun is the oldest company in California. Job SummaryManage and continuously improve the Quality Management System.Ensure compliance with AS9100, ISO 9001, customer requirements, FAR/DFARS, and applicable government contract requirements.Lead internal, customer, registrar, and government audits.Manage nonconformances, corrective actions, root-cause analysis, and quality escapes.Oversee incoming, in-process, and final inspection.Monitor supplier quality and corrective actions.Serve as the primary quality contact for customers and government representatives.Track quality metrics, including defects, scrap, rework, customer complaints, and corrective actions.Lead and develop Quality personnel.Partner with Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, and Program Management to resolve quality issues.Maintain quality records, traceability, and compliance documentation.Promote a culture of quality and continuous improvement.Required Skills and QualificationsStrong leadership and team-management skillsExcellent problem-solving and root-cause analysis skillsStrong knowledge of quality systems and manufacturing processesAbility to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and customer requirementsStrong understanding of inspection and measurement processesExcellent written and verbal communicationStrong analytical and decision-making skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environmentStrong attention to detail and documentation disciplineAbility to work effectively with customers, auditors, government representatives, engineers, and production personnelProficiency with Microsoft Office and quality/ERP systemsAbility and willingness to make independent quality decisions, including placing product on hold when requirements are not metRequired Experience and EducationBachelor’s degree in Quality, Engineering, Manufacturing, or related field, or equivalent experience.7+ years of quality experience, preferably in aerospace, defense, or precision manufacturing.Strong knowledge of AS9100 and ISO 9001.Experience with audits, corrective action, nonconformance management, and root-cause analysis.Government contracting experience and knowledge of FAR/DFARS preferred.Experience working with aerospace customers and/or government contractors preferred.Base Compensation: USD 115,000.00 - 130,000.00 Paid SalariedEqual Opportunity Employer Veterans/Disabled11002 29th Ave W, Bldg C-19Everett, Washington, 98204United States
