Who You Are:

The Medical Front Desk Receptionist will work the Front Desk in our Wellness Clinic, handling general reception and administrative duties, including greeting residents, associates, and guests, medical billing and coordinating patient and physician schedules. This position maintains confidentiality at all times of residents, medical records, and associate information.

• Answer phones and greets residents and associates.
• Schedules appointments for the Nurse Practitioners.
• Greet patients upon arrival, sign them in and obtain insurance information and any other necessary data.
• Provide patients with intake and new patient forms as well as copies of office policies and legally required documents.
• Assists with maintaining complete and accurate medical records.
• Assist with medical records requests from doctor’s offices and hospitals.
• Responsible for data entry of patient information into clinic software program, as applicable.
• Assist with medical billing.
• Assists Nurse Practitioner and/or Medical Assistant with taking vital signs, weight, etc.
• Assist with verification of insurance for residents.
• Maintains confidentiality of medical information.

This position will be Monday-Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm

• Qualifications:
• Previous experience as a medical receptionist or in a similar role preferred
• Certification as a Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) is preferred
• Proficient in using electronic medical record systems, such as Point Click Care (PCC) and Athena Health
• Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures
• Familiarity with phone systems and office equipment
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
• Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and handle sensitive information
