We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Payroll Administrator to oversee the accurate and timely processing of payroll for approximately 500 employees. This role is responsible for ensuring payroll compliance, maintaining payroll records, managing tax reporting activities, and serving as a key resource for employees and leadership regarding payroll-related matters.

The ideal candidate will have strong payroll processing experience, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining confidentiality and accuracy.

Key Responsibilities

• Process full-cycle payroll for approximately 500 employees, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Administer payroll transactions including earnings, deductions, garnishments, benefits, and tax withholdings.
• Review payroll data for accuracy and compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
• Reconcile payroll registers, tax filings, and payroll-related general ledger accounts.
• Prepare and support quarterly and year-end payroll activities, including W-2 processing and payroll tax reporting.
• Research and resolve payroll discrepancies and employee inquiries.
• Maintain payroll records and ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
• Partner closely with Human Resources, Finance, and external vendors on payroll-related matters.
• Assist with payroll audits and support internal control processes.
• Generate payroll reports, analyze payroll data, and identify opportunities for process improvement.
• Support payroll system updates, testing, and implementations as needed.
• Maintain strict confidentiality of employee compensation and personal information.

Qualifications

Required

• 5+ years of progressive payroll experience.
• Experience processing payroll for a workforce of approximately 500 employees or larger.
• Strong understanding of payroll laws, payroll taxes, wage and hour regulations, and compliance requirements.
• Experience with multi-state payroll processing.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and proficiency in payroll reporting.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Pay Details: $80,000.00 to $95,000.00 per year
