Paralegal Specialist

Job Title
The duties of this position include:
Administrative and Logistical Support: Providing support for cases in litigation in state and federal courts and administrative proceedings, including contract claims and appeals, bid protests, and requests for agency documents.
Legal Research: Conducting legal research and providing research for attorneys in drafting legal opinions and other legal documents on all aspects of the District's mission as referred by the District Counsel.
FOIA Program: Assisting the FOIA Officer in handling the FOIA Program.
Contractor Industrial Relations: Assisting the Contractor Industrial Relations Specialist (CIRS) with Davis Bacon Act and service contract wage rates and the review of contractor payrolls.
Administrative Assistance: Providing administrative assistance as needed with time and attendance certification, preparation of travel orders and arrangements, maintenance of government purchase card and training card, and correspondence.
