Schedule Options

• Monday - Friday: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
• Monday - Friday: 9:30 AM - 6:00 PM
• Friday - Saturday - Sunday - Monday: 6:30 AM - 5:00 PM

On-Call Requirements

• One weekday of on-call per week
• Rotating weekend on-call coverage required

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality nuclear medicine procedures in accordance with physician orders and departmental protocols.
• Prepare, administer, and monitor radiopharmaceuticals safely and accurately.
• Perform diagnostic imaging while ensuring patient comfort and safety.
• Start intravenous (IV) lines for the administration of radiopharmaceuticals and contrast when indicated.
• Operate nuclear medicine imaging equipment while maintaining image quality standards.
• Verify patient identity, explain procedures, and obtain appropriate patient history.
• Monitor patients during imaging procedures and respond appropriately to any adverse reactions.
• Follow radiation safety standards and infection prevention guidelines.
• Maintain accurate patient documentation and imaging records.
• Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to provide exceptional patient care.
• Ensure all equipment is maintained and quality control procedures are completed according to departmental guidelines.

Job Requirements

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of recent Nuclear Medicine Technologist experience required.
• PET/CT experience is highly preferred.
• Must be proficient in starting IVs.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) required.
• Current Texas Certified Medical Radiologic Technologist (CMRT) license required.

In addition to the Texas license, candidates must possess one of the following certifications:

• ARRT (N) - Radiologic Technologist, Nuclear Medicine
• OR
• CNMT - Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMTCB)We're Looking For
