About the Position
TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified PCU RN in Atlanta, Georgia, 30303!
Job Title: RN Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical Step Down Unit Duration: Full-time Shift: Varied Hours per Shift: 12 (typical for step down units) Experience: 2 years License: RN License Certifications: ACLS, BLS Must-Have: 2 years of nursing experience in a medical step down or related unit, current RN license, ACLS, and BLS certifications. Description: Responsible for providing care to patients in a medical step down unit. Patient population includes individuals with conditions such as sepsis, heart failure, hypertensive emergency, respiratory failure, COPD, chronic kidney disease, type 2 diabetes, substance abuse issues, status epilepticus, and encephalopathy. Maintains a patient-to-nurse ratio of 1 to 4. May be required to float to other intermediate care units as needed. Must demonstrate proficiency in assessments, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care. Collaboration with a multidisciplinary team is essential.
