About the Position
Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Step Down Duration: 13 weeks Shift: NOC Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 18 months in specialty within the past 3 years License: GA or compact license required Certifications: ACLS required Must-Have: Rhythm identification test (proctored) Description: This unit operates like an ICU but is considered an advanced PCU due to patient ratios. The unit manages post-CABG cardiac surgery patients with chest tubes. Ventilator experience is not required. The unit does have LVADs, and training will be provided. The nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:4 or 1:5. A rhythm identification test will be required upon starting. Nurses will have two attempts to pass, and the test is not multiple choice.
