Accounting Clerk

Accounting Clerk $60-70k Position Summary We are seeking a detail‑oriented and highly organized Accounting Clerk to join our team. This role supports daily accounting operations and works closely with project teams and company leadership to ensure accurate financial record‑keeping. Construction experience is not required —we welcome candidates with strong accounting fundamentals who are eager to learn industry‑specific processes. Key Responsibilities * Process Accounts Payable (A/P): Review invoices, match purchase orders, verify approvals, and ensure timely payment. * Manage Accounts Receivable (A/R): Prepare customer invoices, track payments, and follow up on outstanding balances. * Assist with Payroll Support: Collect timecards, verify hours, and assist the payroll team with weekly processing. * Support Month-End Close: Prepare journal entries, update ledgers, and assist with financial reports. * Vendor & Customer Communication: Respond to inquiries, provide documentation, and maintain positive relationships. * General Administrative Support: Assist with filing, data entry, and tasks as needed to support the accounting department. Qualifications * High school diploma required; associate degree in Accounting, Business, or related field preferred. * 1-3 years of experience in an accounting, bookkeeping, or administrative finance role. * Strong understanding of basic accounting principles. * Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, or similar). * High attention to detail and accuracy. * Strong organizational and time‑management skills.
