As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Customer Engagement in Edgewater, NJ , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a retail location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide welcoming customer service to shoppers and staff. You will communicate clearly, respond to concerns, and support a positive environment through teamwork and integrity. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, shoppers, tenants, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; document observations and report issues to appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the retail location, including common areas, entrances, parking areas, loading zones, and the surrounding perimeter.
• Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the location to help identify unauthorized access, suspicious behavior, hazards, and policy violations.
• Assist with maintaining an orderly environment by providing directions, supporting crowd and traffic flow, and communicating professionally with customers and site personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least two years of security-related experience.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
• Possess a guard card or license, preferred.
• Have loss prevention experience, preferred.
• Have customer service experience, preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
