Registered Nurse (RN) - Charge Acute Care

Emergency Department Registered Nurse

Schedule: FT day/night variable shift (3x12s), holiday rotation

Assignment Details:

• Contract Length: 22-26 weeks
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week

Requirements:

• BLS, ACLS, PALS, Stroke Certification (AHA or RQI)
• New York State RN Licensure
• Two years acute hospital experience as an RN
• One year Emergency Department experience as an RN

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Assess patient needs and establish priorities for care in the emergency department.
• Collaborate with team members to provide direct care and evaluate patient progress.
• Conduct primary assessments, document findings, and identify necessary interventions.
• Educate patients and families on care and treatment plans and ensure comprehension.
• Maintain effective communication with patients, families, and healthcare team members throughout the care process.
• Foster a healing environment by addressing the emotional and psychosocial needs of patients.

• Must comply with infection prevention strategies.
• Orientation and onboarding policies will be communicated upon hire.
