MAUSA also addresses hunger, disease, illiteracy, discrimination, debt, and lack of skills or opportunity. Rooted in the Islamic values of compassion, justice, and human dignity, MAUSA serves all people regardless of faith.### **Position Summary**The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) plays a critical role in advancing Muslim Aid USA's mission, strategic vision, organizational sustainability, and overall impact. Serving as the organization's senior executive leader, the CEO provides strategic, operational, and cultural leadership to strengthen MAUSA's position as a trusted faith-based humanitarian organization serving communities both domestically and globally. The CEO will provide strategic, operational, and cultural leadership to advance MAUSA's mission while strengthening organizational sustainability, impact, and visibility. Reporting to and partnering closely with the Board of Directors, the CEO will guide organizational strategy, foster a high-performing and values-centered culture, oversee operational and financial stewardship, and expand MAUSA's philanthropic and community partnerships. The ideal candidate is a dynamic and emotionally intelligent leader who can balance long-term vision with day-to-day operational excellence. They will bring demonstrated experience leading complex organizations, cultivating strong stakeholder relationships, driving fundraising and business development efforts, and inspiring teams through collaboration, accountability, and service. This leader will serve as the primary ambassador for MAUSA, elevating the organization's voice and presence across communities, donors, partners, media, and the broader humanitarian sector. The CEO will also champion innovation, organizational growth, and inclusive leadership practices while remaining deeply grounded in MAUSA's values of compassion, justice, humility, and human dignity. MAUSA is financially stable, supported by a committed and engaged Board of Directors, and well-positioned for its next chapter of strategic growth and impact.### **Key Responsibilities*** Serve as a guiding force and ambassador for MAUSA's mission* Serve as a mission-driven leader with strategic vision while attending to day-to-day operations, donor engagement and services, government relations, and strategic program oversight* Lead and support a dedicated staff with a shared vision and sense of purpose, creating ongoing opportunities for learning, growth, innovation, and creativity for administrative staff. Facilitate an effective and collaborative environment, ensuring and strengthening alignment with organizational values, strategy, and a business plan.* Harness staff potential across all levels by delegating with accountability and supporting a talent ladder to promote internally. Foster an inclusive culture where all staff and clients can thrive.* Foster a strong service orientation* Guide strategic planning initiatives and shared decision making to build on MAUSA's strengths and opportunities for long-term growth* Serve as a respected thought leader in the field, staying abreast of new developments and ahead of the curve* Ensure that MAUSA serves as an effective partner and resource throughout the communities served* Partner with the staff and board team to oversee ensuring program compliance for public funders and regulatory bodies* In partnership with the staff, initiate new and expanded programs, including program design, budgets, funding proposals, and evaluation methodology* Drive an open culture of collaboration, integration, quality, innovation, data-driven decision making, and efficient use of resources* Manage and provide oversight of the operating budget. In partnership with the Financial Officer, team members and board finance committee optimize functions to ensure that financial systems, budgets, and planning strategies accurately reflect the financial realities.* Implement best practices in risk management, including determining organizational risk appetite and developing supporting plans and processes* Build on deep commitment to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion across all programmatic, staffing, and operational levels* Ensure the organization is well positioned to identify and implement new programs that address critical needs or gaps and diversify and leverage services efficiently* Conduct and oversee environmental scans to determine new opportunities for business development and greater impact* Support all modes of communication and data collection. Ensure that programs undergo regular evaluation, growth, and development. Support its efforts and capacity to track and disseminate impact internally and to its funders and partners.* In partnership with the Board, broaden and maintain active partnerships with a robust funding base to ensure long-term sustainability* Build upon a strong culture of philanthropy within the organization in which Board, staff, serve as ambassadors and engage in relationship building. Work to ensure maximum giving.* Grow a diversified fund development strategy of identifying, cultivating, and soliciting new and existing private funding from individuals, foundations, and corporations as possible and support development offices with digital and other marketing tools* Oversee revenue-generating campaign with the development officer* Establish a strong working partnership with the Board built on trust, transparency, and respect* Partner with the Board on setting and reviewing strategy* Elicit best ideas and efforts from each Board member in support of programs and activities* Inform the Board regularly about the health of the organization, including its financial position, program, and administrative activities and outcomes* Continue to strengthen the Board through the effective recruitment of diverse candidates, orientation of new members, and the training of existing members* Build a pipeline of new Board members in line with MAUSA's Diversity, Equity* Serve as the primary voice for MAUSA staff with the Board* Serve as an effective spokesperson strengthening MAUSA's position as a leader in the identified areas of development and relief* Position MAUSA as a program pacesetter relied on by media outlets for coverage on relevant issues facing MAUSA population### **What We Offer*** 100% employer paid Medical* Partial employer paid Dental and Vision benefits (available upon hire)* Robust time-off package including, vacation, sick and personal leaves* and federal and Islamic holidays* 3% employer-funded 401(k) contribution* Purpose-driven, collaborative environment with national leadership exposure* Professional development opportunities and faith-centered service### **Required Qualifications****Education:** A commitment to MAUSA's mission and values of Collaboration, Continuous Learning, Going to Solution, Equity & Inclusion, and Passion, sharing a deep empathy with and compassion for the unique circumstances of the individuals being served.**Experience:** A deep commitment to equity and expertise implementing DEI values and practices. Leadership experience in the nonprofit, public or private sector, and/or board service addressing the social, mental health, and academic development needs of a diverse population of children. Demonstrated ability to balance long-term strategic vision with daily operational issues. A collaborative management style with the ability to attract and nurture high-performing talent and diverse staff. Proven track record of success in fundraising and business development. Demonstrated ability to capitalize on public relations opportunities as they arise to build the visibility of the organization and its mission. Experience working effectively with a board of directors. Ability to build consensus with an inclusive style. Ability to create trusted relationships with staff, partners, and advocacy organizations. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Inspiring public speaking ability to represent the organization's work with conviction to enhance visibility. Adeptness at addressing a variety of diverse audiences. Experience overseeing the development, operation, and evaluation of programs. Commitment to using best practices and data feedback to shape innovative program models. A self-reflective nature, with the ability to listen effectively. Commitment to being a lifelong learner and a grounded visionary. A sense of humor and an ability to maintain balance and perspective.
