What You'll Be Doing

• Performing thorough patient assessments, ordering diagnostic tests, and developing personalized care plans
• Diagnosing and treating acute, episodic, or chronic health issues collaboratively with physicians or independently (as authorized)
• Educating patients and their families about prevention, wellness, and effective disease management
• Prescribing medications and therapies within your scope of practice
• Engaging in patient follow-up and chronic disease management
• Coordinating with interdisciplinary teams for comprehensive patient care
• Ensuring accurate and complete documentation within electronic medical records (EMR)

Education Requirements

• Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
• Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program

Certifications Needed

• Active Nurse Practitioner licensure in Texas
• National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP, or ANCC) or equivalent specialty
• Certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) (or ability to obtain within 90 days)
