Senior Manager - Contract - Warren, NJ & Armonk, NY Lead the strategy behind clinical trial supply success, driving forecasting, distribution, and operational excellence across global development programmes. Proclinical is seeking a Senior Clinical Trial Supply Manager to oversee clinical program forecasting, investigational product (IP) supply planning, and distribution processes for multiple clinical trials. Primary Responsibilities: The successful candidate will provide oversight of one or more clinical development programmes, ensuring accurate forecasting of Investigational Product (IP) requirements and effective management of clinical supply distribution activities across multiple clinical trials. You will ensure supply chain activities are executed on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards while maintaining compliance with applicable regulatory guidelines and internal procedures. The role collaborates closely with cross-functional stakeholders and external partners and contributes to continuous process improvement initiatives supporting both internally managed and outsourced studies. Skills & Requirements: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; advanced degrees (MBA, PharmD, etc.) are a plus. Extensive experience in the biotechnology/pharmaceutical industry, with a strong focus on clinical supply management. Proficiency in supply planning, inventory management, and IRT systems. Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and clinical trial processes. Excellent communication, problem-solving, and vendor management skills. Ability to manage budgets, timelines, and cross-functional collaborations effectively. Willingness to travel up to 25% as needed. The Senior Manager's responsibilities will be: Lead drug supply planning, including demand forecasting and alignment with clinical development timelines. Manage IP manufacturing, labeling, release, distribution, and return/destruction processes. Oversee inventory tracking, resupply strategies, and expiry management for clinical supplies. Coordinate IP shipment orders to ensure timely delivery to investigator sites. Collaborate on the development and testing of Interactive Response Technologies (IRT) systems. Develop and oversee strategies for drug return, destruction, and ancillary/comparator supplies. Provide input into study documents, training materials, and IP-related tools. Represent Clinical Drug Supply & Logistics in cross-functional study teams and regulatory inspections. Manage budgets, contracts, and vendor relationships for IP-related services. Track metrics, compile reports, and provide updates to study teams and senior management. Mentor junior staff and contribute to training and process improvement initiatives.
