Dietary Manager

THRYVE Healthcare is seeking an experienced and dedicated Dietary Manager to oversee the daily operations of our Dietary Department. The Dietary Manager is responsible for ensuring residents receive high-quality nutritional services while maintaining compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations. This leadership role works closely with the Registered Dietitian, Nursing Department, and interdisciplinary team to promote resident health, satisfaction, and quality of life. Benefits Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Flexible Spending Account (FSA) Life Insurance Critical Illness Insurance Short-Term Disability Insurance Accident Insurance Hospital Indemnity Insurance 401(k) Retirement Savings Plan On-Demand Pay Option Paid Time Off (PTO) Tuition Reimbursement Program Responsibilities Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Dietary Department Ensure residents receive meals that meet physician orders, dietary requirements, and nutritional standards Coordinate menu planning and food service operations in collaboration with the Registered Dietitian Supervise, schedule, train, and evaluate dietary staff Monitor food preparation, meal service, sanitation, and storage practices Ensure compliance with CMS, IDPH, OSHA, and local health department regulations Maintain inventory levels and oversee ordering of food, supplies, and equipment Review resident food preferences, special diets, and nutritional needs Participate in care plan meetings and interdisciplinary team discussions as needed Address resident and family concerns related to dietary services Conduct routine inspections of kitchen and food storage areas to ensure cleanliness and safety Assist with survey preparation and regulatory compliance activities Manage departmental budgets and control food and supply costs Maintain accurate records and documentation related to dietary operations Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent required Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) certification preferred Food Service Sanitation Manager Certification required Minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience in dietary services, preferably in a skilled nursing, long-term care, rehabilitation, hospital, or healthcare setting Knowledge of therapeutic diets, food service operations, and dietary regulations Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced healthcare environment Knowledge of infection control, food safety, and sanitation standards Join the THRYVE Team At THRYVE Healthcare, we are committed to providing exceptional care and enhancing the lives of those we serve.
