Staff Accountant

We provide ongoing strategic business advice to our clients throughout the year on a subscription basis. We get involved in everything from tax planning to menu items. That makes this role a customer-facing position, continually involved in our clients’ businesses. Responsibilities Our Staff Accountants: Assist with processing client financial information Prepare monthly bank account reconciliations Assist with client projects Prepare sales tax returns Prepare 1099s Prepare general correspondence and reports Qualifications Requirements Include: Associates Degree in Business or equivalent learning; Bachelors Degree preferred At least three years of experience in full-charge bookkeeping, with general knowledge of payroll and sales taxes a huge plus Proficiency in QuickBooks Desktop, QuickBooks Online, and Microsoft Office products A unique aptitude for figures and problem-solving Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail A love for serving small businesses, small business owners, and their team Ideal Candidate Fit Aren’t able to do accounting tasks without a lot of oversight Create or experience a lot of workplace drama Approach new ideas, new clients, new team members, or new technologies with skepticism or pessimism rather than seeing potential Do not know how to speak with a confident, professional voice to instill customer confidence Compensation and Hiring Timeline The pay for this position is $40,000 - $65,000 annualized, depending on relevant experience.
