Job Description The RN will assist nursing and medical staff by performing routine duties in caring for patient needs. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Assessing patient biophysical, environmental, psychosocial, self-care, educational, and discharge planning factors. Communicating identified needs to patients, advocates, and healthcare team members. Implementing the plan of care through direct care or delegation, following standards of practice. Reassessing and modifying care plans based on patient responses and physician instructions. Maintaining clinical nursing skills and knowledge. Acting as a patient advocate and coordinating care activities. Making patient rounds with physicians/hospitalists to communicate needs and instructions. Ensuring patient dignity, privacy, and confidentiality. Following infection control policies and safety procedures. Processing physician/hospitalist orders promptly and accurately. Making clinical decisions and communicating effectively. Safeguarding equipment and supplies, ensuring readiness for next shift. Participating in orientation and development of staff skills. Performing additional duties as assigned by management. Requirements Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing. Current Florida RN licensure in good standing. Current BLS, PALS, and ACLS certifications (American Heart Association). Good communication and listening skills. Demonstrated competencies in relevant areas.
