Description SGC Surveying is seeking a motivated Land Surveyor In Training (LSIT) to join our growing team. This role has the ability to sit remote with 25% travel required. Key Responsibilities Assist licensed surveyors with boundary, topographic, ALTA, construction, and utility surveys Perform field work including data collection using GPS, robotic total stations, and other modern survey equipment Assist with research of deeds, plats, and other legal records Support the preparation of survey drawings, plats, and reports using CAD software Process and analyze field data Maintain survey equipment and company vehicles Follow safety standards and company procedures Work both in the field and office as part of a collaborative team SGC Surveying is committed to helping you achieve your professional goals. We provide: Mentorship from Licensed Land Surveyors Training on advanced survey equipment and software Exposure to a wide variety of project types Assistance and guidance toward Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) licensure Qualifications Required: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Surveying, Geomatics, Civil Engineering, or related field OR Surveying internship, co-op, or 0–3 years of related experience Strong work ethic and willingness to learn Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions Valid driver’s license Preferred: LSIT certification or actively pursuing Experience with AutoCAD or Civil 3D Basic knowledge of survey principles and equipment Desire to build a long-term career in surveying Positive attitude and coachability Strong attention to detail Team-oriented mindset Problem-solving ability Dependability and professionalism Why Join SGC Surveying?
