About the Position

We are seeking a Locum Cardiology Physician to provide coverage across outpatient cardiology, stress testing, inpatient consultations & hospital services in the Potsdam/Massena, NY area. The assignment offers a long term opportunity with flexible coverage options for 2–4 weeks per month.

• Provide outpatient cardiology clinic care
• See approximately 3 days of outpatient clinic patients per week
• Supervise stress tests approximately 1 day per week
• Provide inpatient cardiology consultations
• Support the stress lab
• Participate in hospital consult service rotation as needed
• Read nuclear portions of stress tests when required
• Supervise and interpret cardiac stress testing
• Manage adult cardiology patients
• Collaborate with APPs & other clinical providers
• Provide on call coverage as needed
• Maintain accurate documentation in EPIC

• Monday–Friday
• 8:00 AM–4:00 PM
• Prefer 4 weeks per month
• Minimum 2 weeks per month may be considered
• Alternative option: 2 locums working opposite schedules, 2 weeks on/2 weeks off
• Assignment duration: 6–9 months
• On call: 4:00 PM–8:00 AM as needed to fill coverage gaps
• Starting ASAP, subject to credentialing
• Coverage may include both weekday & overnight call responsibilities

Requirements

• MD or DO
• Board Certified in Cardiology
• NY medical license in hand required
• AHA or RQI certifications required
• EPIC experience required
• Preferred 5+ years of cardiology experience
• Experience reading cardiac imaging preferred
• Ability to read Nuclear Stress Tests preferred but not required
• No malpractice claims preferred
• Must provide physician statement for any malpractice history
• Updated work history with no unexplained gaps of 30+ days
• Cardiology experience appropriate for outpatient & inpatient consultation services
