- Oversees assigned BOD program area projects assigned by the supervisor. Performs special studies and research projects or assignments, which require application of expertise and mature judgment. Develops and analyzes the facts needed and recommends the action to be taken on particular matters. Reviews and summarizes information from a variety of sources for the use of the supervisor, exercising sound judgment and knowledge of the purpose of such information. Participates in the planning and conducting of studies of various aspects of the Service's administrative programs and operations to provide a basis for procedural or compliance determinations. Reviews and prepares reports for assigned supervisor.
- Reviews and summarizes information from a variety of sources for the use of the supervisor, exercising sound judgment and knowledge of the purpose of such information. Keeps the supervisor advised of developments and progress concerning problems. Follows-up with the responsible official to expedite necessary action and final settlement of issues.
- Acts as point of contact for the assigned program office responding to internal and external requests for assistance in a minimum amount of time. Carries out routine, high priority or special tasks, and assignments. This encompasses a wide variety of issues sometimes involving sensitive and confidential matters. Independently researches all facets of issues for which program office is responsible and, with mature judgment and discretion, makes administrative decisions affecting the program office.
- Participates in the formulation of guidelines and procedures governing the administrative aspects within the assigned program office. Assesses the need for and establishes and/or adapts administrative procedures and practices to be used in highly unusual situations requiring deviation from standard administrative procedures. Keeps the supervisor advised of developments and progress concerning problems and follows up with the responsible official to expedite necessary action and final settlement of the issues.
- Probationary Period - All newly appointed employees to the competitive (or excepted) service are subject to a probationary (or trial) period. During this time, your performance, conduct, and suitability for continued employment will be evaluated. You will not automatically convert to permanent status at the end of the probationary (or trial) period. Your supervisor must affirmatively determine that continued employment is in the best interest of the Federal service. If no certification is made before the probationary (or trial) period ends, your appointment will be terminated. You are encouraged to actively engage with your supervisor, seek feedback, and understand role expectations. Additional guidance and support will be provided during onboarding.
- Government Credit Card - Obtain and use a Government-issued charge card for business-related travel.
- U.S Citizenship - Must be a U.S. Citizen or National and provide proof of U.S. Citizenship.
- Selective Service Registration - Males born after December 31, 1959 are required to be registered with the Selective Service System or prove they are exempt from having to do so.
- Personal Identity Verification (PIV) - Must provide 2 forms of identification from the Form I-9. Federal law requires verification of the identity and employment eligibility of all new hires in the U.S. These documents must be unexpired original or certified copies .
- Providing executive-level staff support to senior executives, organizational leadership, elected officials, or other senior decision-makers involving sensitive, confidential, or high-profile matters.
- Coordinating executive correspondence, briefing materials, executive taskings, controlled communications, action tracking systems, leadership clearance processes, or similar executive support activities to ensure timely and accurate completion of assignments.
- Researching, analyzing, and summarizing information from multiple sources to prepare briefing papers, executive summaries, memoranda, reports, presentations, talking points, correspondence, and other executive-level written products.
- Serving as a primary point of contact for executives or organizational leadership by coordinating meetings, managing executive calendars, travel, meeting logistics, follow-up actions, and communications while coordinating with executives, congressional staff, government officials, program offices, and other stakeholders to resolve issues and support executive decision-making.
- Monitoring, coordinating, and tracking multiple high-priority assignments involving competing deadlines, sensitive issues, and significant executive interest while exercising sound judgment, attention to detail, discretion, and minimal supervision.
- Developing, implementing, or improving office procedures, workflow processes, records management practices, correspondence tracking systems, scheduling processes, budget tracking, procurement activities, and other administrative operations to improve organizational effectiveness and efficiency.
- Communicating professionally, both orally and in writing, with executives, managers, employees, external organizations, and members of the public while maintaining confidentiality, applying strong analytical and organizational skills, recommending solutions, and ensuring successful completion of complex administrative and executive assignments.
- MINIMUM AGE REQUIREMENT: Minimum age for federal employment is 18 years old, or at least 16 years old and have:
- Graduated from high school or been awarded a certificate equivalent to graduating from high school; or
- Completed a formal vocational training program; or
- Received a statement from school authorities agreeing with your preference for employment rather than continuing your education.

- Fingerprint/Criminal History Check - This position requires that the successful candidate undergo personnel vetting, which includes a background investigation and enrollment upon onboarding into "Continuous Vetting." Enrollment in Continuous Vetting will result in automated record checks being conducted throughout one's employment with Treasury. The successful candidate will also be enrolled into FBI's Rap Back service, which will allow Treasury to receive notification from the FBI of criminal matters (e.g., arrests, charges, convictions) involving enrolled individuals in near real-time.
