To continue our standard of excellence, Piedmont is seeking a motivated, reliable professional to join our team as a Recruiter in our Talent Acquisition Department. The primary responsibility of the position is to understand the corporate culture, policies, and goals to select candidates that meet or exceed the company’s minimum requirements for employment. This will be achieved by working closely with station management to arrange and host recruiting events, where the recruiter will conduct interviews and orientation sessions. The successful candidate will have excellent communication and Microsoft Office Skills, as well as a flexible schedule to allow for extensive travel. This position reports to either a Senior Recruiter or the Manager, Talent Acquisition.Essential Duties:Responsible for understanding the corporate culture, policies, and goals to select candidates that meet or exceed the company’s minimum requirements for employmentWork closely with station management in various locations to arrange and host recruiting events designed to meet staffing goalsPost job opportunities on various websites or newspapers, monitor responses, and contact candidatesConduct interview and orientation sessions; arrange for new hires to attend mandatory training classEnsure employment processes are completed for each new hireMaintain and update files, tracking forms and order pre-employment workbooks as necessaryJob Qualifications and Competencies:Ability to work independently, set and meet own deadlinesAbility to work well with all levels of management and support staffExcellent verbal and written communication skillsExcellent MS Office Suite skillsFlexible scheduleMotivation to succeedPreferred Qualifications:Knowledge of federal and state employment lawPrevious recruiting experienceBachelor’s degree in related fieldWork Environment:Standard office environment, use of telephones, computers, and other office equipmentExtensive travel to include multiple overnights Physical Requirements:Occasional lifting up to 25 poundsThe above statements provide a brief description of the general nature of work performed and are not intended to be a complete list of responsibilities, duties, and skills required for this position.
