Business Relationship Manager

Job role: IT Customer Relationship Manager


Location: Richmond, VA (Hybrid)


Duration: 6 to 12+ months

Key Responsibilities:


1. Communicating with Agency leadership up to the Executive level.

2. Collaborating with IT leadership for successful delivery of all IT services.


3. Serving as a coordination point for IT management, escalations, and coordination with Districts.


4. Partnering with business and Enterprise Architecture to develop a multi-year business capability roadmap.


5. Building and maintaining relationships with assigned business partners.


6. Coordinating with project managers, service and operations managers for work prioritization and escalation management.


7. Identifying opportunities for new services, service improvements, and technical innovation.


8. Overseeing the management of business partner expectations related to IT service or product delivery.


9. Managing escalations related to technology procurements, projects and service delivery requests.


10. Identifying and communicating customer needs.


11. Collaborating with ITD teams managing production operations and strategic direction for systems owned by assigned business partners.


12. Ensuring compliance with VDOT and VITA policies, standards, and guidelines. Desired


Skills:


1. Bachelor's degree or six years of related experience.


2. Experience in Information Technology, including knowledge of SDLC, Agile Methodology, Technology Procurements.


3. Strong communication skills in writing, speaking and presenting.


4. Ability to build rapport and credibility as a strategic partner.


5. Skilled in conflict negotiation and resolution; experience dealing with difficult customers.


6. Team-oriented with a focus on purpose, value, and results.


7. Strategic thinker with the ability to connect strategy to execution.


8. Experience in Product Line planning, development and management.


9. Understanding of VDOT's Organization Structure including Districts and Central Office.
