Turnaround Procurement Specialist

Our client, the energy and heavy industrial sector , is seeking a Turnaround Procurement Specialist to join their team, in Baton Rouge, LA. As a Turnaround Procurement Specialist, you will be part of the procurement department supporting site turnaround projects. The ideal candidate will have strong communication, organization, and analytical skills which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Turnaround Procurement Specialist

Location: Baton Rouge, LA (100% Onsite, M-F, Standard Business Hours, Minimal Travel)

Pay Range: $65/HR + Benefits

Contract Duration: 12-Months W2 Contract (likely extension) No C2C!

Job Functions:

• Support procurement activities for industrial turnaround projects at various sites.

• Coordinate bidding processes and sourcing for materials, equipment, and services.

• Provide guidance on commercial and contract considerations as an advisory resource.

• Work directly with suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure timely procurement.

• Assist with bid analysis, reporting, and procurement documentation to support project needs.

Required Qualifications:

• Procurement or sourcing experience in industrial environments such as chemical, oil & gas, or manufacturing.

• Strong communication, organization, and analytical skills to work independently and collaboratively.

• Experience with procurement systems like Ariba and ERP platforms such as SAP is preferred.

• Ability to handle extended hours and overtime during turnaround periods.

• Familiarity with reporting tools such as Power BI and Excel for bid evaluations and analysis.
