CNC Lathe Machinist$38.00/Hour + $160 Daily Per Diem ($1,162 Weekly)50-60 Hours Per Week Available2nd & 3rd Shift OpeningsDuration: 6 Months-1 YearCompensation & SchedulePay Rate: $38.00 per hourPer Diem: $160 per day ($1,162 weekly)Hours: 50-60 hours per weekWith double time on the 7th day of workLocation: Grantsburg, WisconsinShifts Available: 2nd Shift: 2:30 PM - 10:30 PM3rd Shift: 10:30 PM - 6:30 AMKey ResponsibilitiesSet up, operate, and optimize CNC lathes, CNC mills, and machining centers to manufacture precision components according to established production requirements.Operate and maintain CNC machines to produce parts in accordance with print specifications and customer requirements.Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, schematics, CAD/CAM programs, work instructions, and technical documentation.Perform complete machine setups from start to finish utilizing blueprints and/or CAM programs.Select, install, and adjust tooling, machine offsets, speeds, feeds, and machining parameters.Perform tooling changes, offset adjustments, and equipment calibrations as required.Edit and modify machine programs at the machine utilizing G&M codes.Utilize precision measurement tools including calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and other inspection equipment to verify dimensional accuracy and part conformity.Conduct first-article, first-piece, in-process, and final inspections to ensure compliance with quality standards and engineering specifications.Monitor machine run conditions and performance throughout production runs and make adjustments as needed to maintain production efficiency and product quality.Troubleshoot machining processes, tooling concerns, equipment malfunctions, and production issues to minimize downtime and maximize operational efficiency.Perform routine and preventative maintenance to ensure machinery remains in proper working condition.Accurately maintain production records, inspection reports, quality documentation, and manufacturing data.Follow all company safety policies, quality standards, operational procedures, and 5S manufacturing practices.Workplace Type: This is a fully onsite Contract position in Grantsburg, WI.Application Deadline: This position is anticipated to close on October 26th, 2026.
