GRAPHIC DESIGNER (REMOTE-PORTLAND, OR) at Compass Group USA

Overview

This Remote Graphic Designer will support Compass Group’s growth by delivering high-quality, visually compelling materials that support both new sales and client retention. The role is based out of Portland, OR and offers a salary of $65,000–$75,000 (Pay Grade 11).

Responsibilities

• Design high-impact sales and retention materials, including proposals, presentations, brochures, packaging, logos, and digital assets.
• Develop interactive and visually polished content such as PowerPoint presentations, PDFs, and microsites to support business development efforts.
• Collaborate with Sales and Retention teams to ensure visual design aligns with strategic goals.
• Translate complex data and messaging into engaging visual narratives.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines, maintaining high quality, and ensuring design consistency.
• Contribute creative ideas during team brainstorming sessions and design reviews.
• Prepare content for both digital and print production, ensuring accuracy and adherence to brand guidelines.
• Maintain organized libraries of design assets, templates, and tools for team use.
• Support RFP and proposal development by enhancing layout, flow, and overall visual impact.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional graphic design experience, preferably in a fast-paced, sales-focused environment.
• Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop).
• Strong skills in PowerPoint or Keynote, with a focus on presentation storytelling.
• Excellent eye for typography, color, layout, and composition.
• Strong communication, organization, and time-management abilities.
• Ability to work independently or collaboratively in both remote and in-office environments.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience designing proposals, pitch decks, or RFP responses.
• Familiarity with project-management tools and workflows.
• Working knowledge of AI-assisted design tools.
• Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design or a related field, or equivalent experience.
