Description

Position Summary: Manage and direct all landscape operations and employee support.

Essential Job Functions:

• Hire, train and develop landscape staff. Prioritize daily tasks for staff. Conduct performance evaluations and disciplinary action.
• Operate mowing equipment and hand-held tools. Operate heavy or specialized equipment. Install and maintain manual and automatic irrigation systems.
• With support from Manager, prepare annual budget and maintain monthly expenses.
• Regular and reliable attendance at the worksite and adhere to assigned schedule. this position is not a remote or telecommute position.
• Adhere to all company and departmental policies and procedures per the guidebook including all safety requirements including all safety guidelines.
• Utilize electronic time management system to input time, attendance and paid off request.

Qualifications

Education:

• High School Diploma/GED Equivalent.
• Landscape Certification or Bachelor's Degree in horticulture or landscape design preferred.

Experience:

• Two years supervisory experience.
• Three years landscape experience, preferably on a large campus or acreage.
• Excellent verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to multi-task and maintain a consistent volume of work order requests.
• Former budget planning experience.

Computer Skills: Basic end-user Windows based PC experience.

Certificates & Licenses: Pesticide Applicator Certification or willing to obtain in a specified period of time.

Missouri Chauffeurs License
