Role Description The Fundraiser is a remote, contract role responsible for developing and implementing strategies to secure financial support for A Safe Haven Canada’s programs and initiatives. Day-to-day tasks include identifying and researching prospective individual, corporate, and foundation donors; drafting compelling fundraising materials such as proposals, appeals, and campaign messaging; and managing donor outreach through email, phone, and virtual meetings. The Fundraiser will coordinate online fundraising campaigns, support events and digital initiatives, and maintain accurate records of donor interactions and contributions. This role collaborates closely with leadership and program teams to align fundraising efforts with organizational priorities and impact goals. Qualifications Experience in fundraising, donor relations, or development with the ability to build and maintain long-term supporter relationships. Strong skills in proposal writing, grant applications, and creating persuasive donor communications. Competence in campaign planning, budgeting, and tracking fundraising performance metrics. Comfort using CRM or donor management systems, spreadsheets, and online fundraising platforms. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including virtual presentation and outreach abilities. Proven organizational and time-management skills, with the capacity to work independently in a remote setting and meet deadlines. Demonstrated commitment to social impact, community service, or issues related to homelessness or housing insecurity. Relevant education or training in nonprofit management, communications, marketing, or a related field is an asset. #J-18808-Ljbffr
