SAP S/4HANA Finance Lead

Role Description We are seeking an experienced SAP S/4HANA Finance Lead to drive Finance transformation initiatives, including S/4HANA upgrades and implementations. The role requires strong hands-on leadership across SAP Finance modules, deep understanding of S/4HANA Finance architecture, and the ability to work as the primary onsite liaison between business stakeholders and offshore delivery teams. Key Responsibilities
- Lead multiple SAP S/4HANA Finance upgrades and implementations , owning end-to-end Finance delivery
- Provide hands-on leadership for FI/CO, FSCM, Asset Accounting, AP/AR, and New GL workstreams
- Own Finance simplification item analysis , impact assessment, and remediation strategy
- Act as the primary onsite point of contact for Finance business users and offshore teams
- Define and govern Finance testing strategy including SIT, UAT, month-end close, and mock cycles
- Drive defect triage, prioritization, resolution, and sign-off for Finance-related issues
- Lead Finance activities for cutover planning, mock upgrades, downtime validation, and go-live readiness
- Support post go-live hypercare , stabilization, and Finance user enablement
- Guide adoption of S/4HANA 2025 Finance Fiori apps and reporting changes
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams using SAP Activate methodology and upgrade best practices
- Provide executive-level communication and status reporting to senior stakeholders
- 15+ years of overall SAP Finance experience
- Strong expertise in S/4HANA Finance architecture and Universal Journal (ACDOCA)
- Proven experience leading S/4HANA upgrades and greenfield/brownfield implementations
- Hands-on experience with RISE with SAP environments
- Exposure to Finance Fiori apps and embedded analytics
- Experience with SAP Solution Manager / SAP Cloud ALM for testing and defect management
- Strong understanding of onsite-offshore delivery models
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and leadership skills
- Experience with Finance reporting modernization in S/4HANA
- Exposure to SAP best practices content and rapid deployment scenarios
