Grants Administrator II (NS) Agency: NC State Highway Patrol Division Position No.: 60085110 Grade: NC12 Location: 512 N. Salisbury Street, Raleigh, NC 27610 We are seeking a well‑rounded, focused‑driven Grants Administrator II to support the Fiscal Section of the North Carolina State Highway Patrol. The role involves managing federal grants, providing data analysis, and supporting the Commercial Vehicle Safety Plan (CVSP) for the Motor Carrier Safety Assistance Program (MCSAP). Key Responsibilities Coordinate and develop the State’s Commercial Vehicle Safety Plan (CVSP) for MCSAP. Assist the MCSAP Administrator with oversight and reporting of accurate data to the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA). Lead collection and analysis of data to support long‑term strategic goals of the State’s CVSP and national commercial motor vehicle program activities. Provide accurate data and analyses to justify grant applications and funding for new program initiatives. Lead MCSAP funding applications and oversee all FMCSA awarded grant funds. Provide financial oversight, submission/monitoring, and technical counsel for other grants as assigned. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration, public administration, or a related discipline from an accredited institution. At least one year of directly related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Knowledge of federal and state grant programs. Knowledge of financial management principles, generally accepted accounting principles, and grants administration practices. Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Preferred Qualifications Experience writing, applying for, and managing federal grants. Project management skills and ability to develop new processes and procedures. Information analysis and decision‑making skills. Experience monitoring budgets and reviewing financial reports associated with grants. Knowledge of technical and administrative rules and regulations in the subject area. Typical work schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm.
