Location: Houston, TX

Compensation: $25.00 per hour

Job Overview: We are seeking a dedicated Warehouse Shipping and Receiving Assistant to join our team. This role is integral to the smooth operation of our warehouse and requires a hardworking individual who can thrive in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Efficiently unload and load trucks, ensuring careful handling of goods.
• Operate stockpicker forklifts and other equipment for moving items within the warehouse.
• Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment, including disposing of trash and boxes.
• Conduct regular cleaning and maintenance of trucks.
• Manage light assembly tasks
• Conduct inventory counts and ensure accurate record-keeping.
• Handle shipping tasks using various carriers such as UPS, USPS, FedEx, and freight lines, requiring proficiency with computer and keyboard.

Requirements:

• Experience in warehouse operations, particularly in shipping and receiving.
• Ability to operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment (training will be provided if necessary).
• Comfortable working in environments without air conditioning or heating.
• A clean driving record and the ability to participate in our drug and alcohol testing program.
• Strong physical condition to handle the demands of the job.
• Previous experience with light assembly work.
• Competency in using computers for shipping and inventory management.
• Non-smoker (including social smoking).
• Ability to manage a high volume of deliveries efficiently
• Note - this is a non-smoking environment
• Sometimes you will be lifting a package that weighs over 100 lbs. You will lift the package with another person
