Key Responsibilities

As a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner, your role will encompass a variety of essential responsibilities, including:

• Conducting thorough medical assessments by recording patients’ medical histories and symptoms.
• Performing physical examinations and observing patients for signs of illnesses or injuries.
• Formulating and implementing patient care plans tailored to individual needs, as well as contributing to ongoing care strategies.
• Ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of pediatric health issues.
• Administering medications and treatments, while closely monitoring their effectiveness and making necessary adjustments.
• Educating parents and caregivers on best practices for managing their child’s health, including preventive care and chronic condition management.
• Maintaining collaborative relationships with physicians and healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care delivery.
• Staying updated on advances in pediatric nursing and healthcare practices to provide the most effective care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The primary patient population will include infants, children, and adolescents, focusing on their complex physical and emotional health needs. You will encounter a range of conditions from routine check-ups to acute care situations, requiring a proactive approach to health care. Qualifications

• Master's degree in Nursing with a specialization in Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (PNP) or equivalent.
• Valid and unrestricted Certified Nurse Practitioner (CNP) license in the state of Florida.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience working as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner is required.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in a pediatric primary care setting or children’s hospital is preferred.
• Demonstrated proficiency in the management of both acute and chronic pediatric conditions.
• Strong ability to communicate effectively with children and their families, tailoring explanations to ensure understanding.
• Prior experience in home care or a similar environment, providing insights into unique family dynamics and patient needs.

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation for this role is competitive, ranging between USD 100 to 116 per hour, commensurate with experience. We offer flexible scheduling within a standard 5x8 work week, allowing for a balanced work-life integration. Additionally, overtime opportunities may be available as needed.
