26 AZ Serve VISTA – Yavapai College Leadership Coordinator The AmeriCorps VISTA member will build capacity within Yavapai College's Student Engagement and Leadership (SEL) department by expanding and strengthening student leadership and engagement systems, with a primary focus on the Students of Leadership (SOL) program and low-income students. The VISTA will develop sustainable infrastructure, tools, and partnerships that increase access to leadership development, student engagement, and co‑curricular learning opportunities. Through this work, the project will enhance students' leadership skills, sense of belonging, and connection to campus, improving retention, persistence, and long‑term student success for students of all income levels, creating equal access for individuals experiencing poverty. Member Duties Assess and strengthen current systems associated with SEL programming, identifying gaps in access and participation through metrics like student engagement and program outcomes; compile data into a baseline report for leadership. Develop refined program infrastructure for Students of Leadership (SOL) and other leadership programs on campus; build workflows, standard operating procedures, and toolkits to assist future implementation. Additionally, research micro‑credential pathways for leadership development. Create infrastructure for gathering data, conducting assessments, and program sustainability. Design a system that tracks participation, engagement, and leadership outcomes; this system should last beyond the VISTA's year of service.
