Full Charge Bookkeeper / Accounting Specialist

Louisville, KY | Full-Time | In-Office | $51,000 – $65,000, Commensurate with Experience

About the Role

PHOENIX is a stable, established process technology company looking for an experienced accounting professional to join our team for the long term. This is not a stepping-stone position or a role designed to lead into management — we're looking for someone who wants to settle into a position, do great work, and stay with us for years to come.

If you have 5–10+ years of hands-on bookkeeping or accounting experience, know your way around a full set of books, and are looking for stability rather than your next promotion, we'd love to hear from you.

What You’ll Do

• Manage day-to-day bookkeeping including accounts payable and accounts receivable
• Perform monthly bank and account reconciliations
• Handle month-end and year-end close processes
• Prepare financial statements and reports for management
• Process payroll [if applicable]
• Maintain accurate general ledger entries
• Assist with budgeting, cash flow tracking, and audit preparation as needed
• Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable regulations

What We’re Looking For

• 5–10+ years of hands-on bookkeeping/accounting experience (required)
• Proven, stable work history — we value tenure and consistency over frequent job changes
• Comfortable independently managing a full set of books
• Proficiency with QuickBooks /Sage
• Strong attention to detail and reliability
• A bachelor's degree is not required — an associate's degree, accounting certificate, or equivalent hands-on experience is welcome and valued equally
