Temp: Secretary Community Schools - Annapolis Elementary Anne Arundel County Public Schools – Annapolis Elementary, Annapolis, Maryland Job Summary Performs general secretarial and clerical tasks in support of the Community Schools program at the assigned school. Assists the Community School Program Manager with scheduling and advertising of community school programming, registers students and monitors attendance records using approved district platforms, assists with payroll for staff working in Community School programming, and helps prepare and process forms, records, correspondence, and documents for the program. Bilingual and biliterate in a targeted language may be required depending on assignment. Essential Duties / Responsibilities Assists the Program Manager with program-related phone calls and communication. Enrolls students and families into a district-approved platform to monitor attendance and engagement in Community School events. Schedules and copies materials for Community School meetings. Compiles paperwork needed for program reporting and documentation. Composes and distributes reports, letters, forms, lists, newsletters, agenda, schedules, and other correspondence for the program. Origins purchase and payment requests on behalf of the Program Manager as directed. Compiles, reviews, and submits timesheets for program-related payroll. Performs other related duties as assigned within the same classification or lower. Minimum Qualifications Education High School Diploma or Equivalency Certificate required. Experience One (1) year recent office experience with progressively responsible duties, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Ability to speak and write effectively.
• Knowledge of modern office practices, business English, and spelling.
• Initiative and good judgment in executing delegated administrative responsibilities.
• Tact and cooperation when dealing with students, Board of Education personnel, contractors, and the public.
• Ability to work and communicate with diverse populations.
• Proficiency with business technology applications (Video/Web Conferencing, Microsoft Office Suite – Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
