About the Position

We are seeking a Locums Emergency Medicine Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to provide emergency department coverage at two main hospitals and four affiliated freestanding emergency departments (FSEDs) in Corpus Christi, Texas, and the surrounding area. Providers must be flexible and willing to work across all six locations as needed.

Responsibilities

· Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients presenting with acute illnesses and injuries.

· Obtain patient histories and perform physical examinations.

· Order and interpret diagnostic tests, including laboratory work and imaging.

· Develop and implement treatment plans.

· Stabilize patients and coordinate care or transfers as needed.

· Document patient encounters and treatment plans accurately.

· Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other clinical staff to provide quality emergency care.

Requirements

· Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program

· Current national certification:

o PA: NCCPA certification

o NP: National certification in an appropriate specialty

· Active Texas license

· Current BLS and ACLS certifications
