Senior Accounting Manager

Work Arrangement: Full-Time | Fully Onsite Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Accounting Manager to join its growing finance team in Phoenix. This is a high-impact leadership opportunity for an accounting professional who enjoys improving processes, partnering with operations, and leading a team in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. The ideal candidate will have strong technical accounting skills, experience managing people, and a background in job costing and work-in-progress (WIP) accounting. This role offers the opportunity to influence accounting operations, drive process improvements, and support the continued growth of the business. Key Responsibilities Lead the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting. Oversee general ledger accounting, account reconciliations, and financial statement preparation. Manage job costing and WIP accounting while ensuring project financial accuracy. Supervise, mentor, and develop members of the accounting team. Strengthen internal controls and identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and efficiencies. Partner with operations and executive leadership to provide financial insights and support business decisions. Assist with budgeting, forecasting, audit support, and other strategic finance initiatives. Ensure compliance with GAAP and company policies. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance. 6+ years of progressive accounting experience. Prior accounting leadership or management experience. Strong knowledge of job costing and WIP accounting. Experience in construction or another project-based industry is highly preferred. Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills. CPA is a plus but not required.
