For more information visit amkor.com.Position Summary:We are seeking a high energy and motivated Factory Plant Senior Accounting Manager to join our Amkor Technology Arizona facility. The Factory Plant Senior Accounting Manager is responsible for overseeing all plant-level accounting, financial reporting, cost accounting, and internal controls at Amkor’s manufacturing facility located in Peoria. This role partners closely with operations, engineering, and supply chain teams to ensure accurate product costing, inventory valuation, and financial performance visibility. The position plays a key role in supporting operational efficiency, driving cost discipline, and ensuring compliance with U.S. GAAP and Amkor’s corporate policies. This position will report to the Controller of Amkor Technology Arizona facility.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Plant Accounting & Financial Reporting:Review journal entries and account reconciliationsPrepare balance sheet & income statement analytics and fluctuation explanationManage monthly, quarterly and annual close process for the factoryCoordinate with corporate accounting on consolidation, technical accounting, and external reporting requirementsEnsure timely and accurate financial statements in accordance with US GAAP and Amkor policiesCost Accounting & Inventory Management:Oversee standard costing, cost rollups, and variance analysis (labor, overhead, material)Analyze manufacturing variances and partner with operations to drive cost improvementsManage inventory valuation, cycle counts, and physical inventory processesEnsure accurate accounting for WIP, finished goods, and scrapOperational Finance Partnership:Partner with plant leadership on budgeting, forecasting, and financial planningProvide actionable insights on cost drivers, capacity utilization, and efficiency metricsSupport capital expenditure (CapEx) planning, tracking, and asset accountingDrive financial discipline in manufacturing operations and investment decisionsInternal Controls & Compliance:Ensure compliance with SOX controls and internal audit requirementsSupport external and internal audit activitiesMaintain strong internal controls over financial reporting, inventory and fixed assetsLead or participate in various ad-hoc analysis and special projects as assignedIdentify and drive continuous process improvements and automation opportunitiesLeadership & Team ManagementThis position starts as individual contributor and will manage a team as operation scales up, with potential succeeding the ControllerRequired Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree or higher in Accounting or Finance (CPA strongly preferred)Minimum of eight (8) years of accounting/finance experienceStrong background in cost accounting and inventory accountingDemonstrate strong US GAAP technical accounting and internal controls knowledgeStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsStrong communication and leadership skillsAbility to work in a fast-paced, high-volume manufacturing environmentDemonstrate proficiency with MS Office with advanced proficiency in ExcelExperience in a manufacturing environment required; semiconductor or high-tech preferredPublic company and SOX compliance experience preferredPrevious experience with financial systems (ERP such SAP/Oracle preferred)Preferred Qualifications:Professional designation such CPA, CMA, or CFASemiconductor or high-tech experienceLocation:This position will be based at the temporary Phoenix, AZ site and the Peoria site during the construction phase, and will transition to the Peoria site once factory operations begin.Amkor is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer.
